My Dad used to wear zip up ankle boots....when he drove me places when I was younger, he would always be wearing an ol white Tshirt and he would tuck his pants into those boots.I told him flat out one time that I can't be seen with him when he dresses like that, I'll walk or take the bus thanks...and that's exactly what happened
