Sorry if this is going too far, but JHS has released a budget line of guitar effect pedals called the 3 series. They're very basic and each one costs $99 US (even the delay and reverb). If anyone's interested:

The Chorus, Delay, and Reverb sound nice. I'll probably get them, and the Fuzz as well... after I'm done with my AR10 build.

ESP LTD EC-256 FM Transparent Black, Limited Edition.
This was received as a gift for Christmas, have since bought two more guitars so decided to offload this one. Plays great, well suited for metal but also hard rock and other styles, it had a coil tap which is good for acquiring a variety of tones.
It does need a set up due to bends choking out around the 12th fret on the high E and B strings, should be an easy fix. Also, there is a slight issue with the bridge pickup, on occasion the output is really low, but this again is an easy fix, its either a small issue with the switch or just a general electrical problem with the pickup itself, once again easily fixable. These minor issues are the reason for the lower price. The rest of the guitar is in very good condition as displayed in photos, the only visible defect is a tiny chip on the back nest the jack input which has been highlighted in the photos. I will include a gig bag.

I dont know why people bother with things like coil taps these days Those were old innovations that were useful before the pedal world really came alive. I wouldnt be surprised if a poor job at that was the reason it had output issues. (or if the tap is on a push button pot, those are notoriously flimsy and if you whack em too hard while playing...)

the bends choking out as he describes is similar to what I was talking to Kev about the other day - if your truss is too slack and you try to lower the bridge as a fix...

its always good having someone to help sort stuff out! I'm the fix it guy in my crew, so usually the buck must stop with me I wonder if the guy figured out all he has to do is replace the switchpot and he can probably get a bunch more for it, seems like the listing was taken down?

Yeah, looks like the relisting has been taken down Maybe the guy's had a "private" offer from the other bidder (was only one other bid before i jumped in) - wouldnt be the first time i've done an offsite deal through ebay
