Also...I've seen that exact scene in other movies or TV. The one with Matt driving past the welcome sign and then mysteriously driving towards it again.

They had a wide angled shot of the entire town at the end of the first episode before Dillon meets up with the cop. It's nothing too weird: it's just one road that goes out of town, circles round and leads back into town. The town is enclosed within that fence on all sides. There's no way in or out... or so it seems.

Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.
Hal, what you may be the thinking of is an episode of "Eureka" vis a vie the town signs. I just watched episode 1. Plan to watch second maybe sun night. I'm hooked for now. May even grab the book after all 10 episodes are done.

So after 3 episodes, it is very similar to Persons Unknown. Everyone is aware that something is going on, yet no one can leave.
I did like in the recent episode where Matt was made sheriff about 5 minutes after the other guy was killed
I'm not sure about the latest development.
If it's actually 4028, how did we see that doctor in the real world and also Burke's wife when she was at the secret service building stealing info to find him?
and 4028 is their current time doubled exactly (2014)...
So I'll play...it's 4028 and that is the last of humanity living in the small town of Wayward Pines. And they have reckonings, killing people on the street because they spoke out of turn???? Pretty arbitrary considering it's the last of our species I call bullshit
I think it's 'interesting' and will prob stick it out till the end, that and the fact there's nothing else on just now and I'm only really able to fit in about an HR if TV a week anymore! Well 2 hrs for just now till GOT finishes this week..
El Goofy Fantastico!
I'm not saying wormholes, but wormholes
So we have the premise. It somehow is 4028 and Wayward Pines is the last of humanity. People living in town and people living in cryo-stasis thingys.
So what does the visionary and humanitarian David Pilcher do? He tries to kill every living town member because the new sheriff won't have reckonings. He says - It's all bad...
and then, the sister who has helped and stood by him for years...shoots her own brother dead.
I know TV series can't always go the way I would like to see them go, but the above is a fine example of huge plot moments occurring based on stupidity or really weak reasoning. Idiotic....
He just likes to start over when things dont go his way, he's got plenty of people to start again
