My best buddy at work, our shipper, was riding his bike down a huge hill in our city and hit a post obscured by grass.He went over the handlebars, did a faceplant and scraped his face off He lost a front tooth, split his lip from the middle up to his nose and his eyes/nose/mouth are so swollen I couldn't recognize him.He had to take some time off and this guy is a die-hard...never misses a day and rides his bike to work every day of the year.Through -30c and snow, whatever...he doesn't have a license or car.

so that was a minor thing...I had to step it up and cover for him because he's done the same when I'm sick or on holidays...

I think he has an issue with the city...no signs and the grass was grown up over the post (big thick concrete post to prevent cars from driving up the hill ffs...irony or what?)

he's tough but I think he's in a bit of shock still from last week...tooth knocked clean out and stitches on his face...he's not used to babying himself.My teeth ached just looking at him
