Yep, and marquez won at least 9 rounds against pac in their last fight yet pac got the decision. They need to bring back 15 rounders for title fights imho, can make all the difference

Cuban boxing champion Teofilo Stevenson dies

Former Cuban heavyweight boxer Teofilo Stevenson, who won three Olympic gold medals, has died at the age of 60.

State media said he had suffered a heart attack.

In the 1970s, US boxing promoters offered Stevenson $5m (£3m) to turn professional and fight then world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.

But the boxer stayed loyal to the Cuban revolution, which outlawed professional sports, and refused. He said: "I prefer the affection of eight million Cubans."

Stevenson was born in Las Tunas province in eastern Cuba and fought his first bout at the age of 14.

He went on to win gold medals as a heavyweight in three consecutive Olympic Games - 1972 in Munich, 1976 in Montreal and 1980 in Moscow - and was widely considered the greatest amateur boxer of his time.

"The Olympic Games in Munich and Montreal are the fondest memories I have from my life, the best stage of my career," he told AP news agency earlier this year.

Boxing fans were keen to see him go up against Muhammad Ali in what they hoped would be the "fight of the century", but Stevenson turned the offer down.

The boxer - known in Cuba by the nickname "Pirolo" - missed a shot at a fourth Olympic gold when Cuba joined the Soviet boycott of the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.

He announced his retirement in 1988 after Cuba decided to skip the Seoul Olympics as well.

After retiring, Stevenson became a coach and served as vice president of the Cuban Boxing Federation.

Reporting his death, state newspaper Juventud Rebelde said Cuban sport had lost "one of its greatest exponents of all time".

Corrie Sanders: Ex-heavyweight champion dies in shooting

Former heavyweight world boxing champion Corrie Sanders has died after being shot during an apparent robbery.
The 46-year-old was reportedly attending a family celebration at a restaurant near Pretoria in his native South Africa. He died in hospital.
Sanders pulled off one of boxing's major shocks when he beat Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBO heavyweight title in 2003.
He retired in 2008, having won 42 of his 46 fights.
Sanders vacated the WBO title in December 2003 to concentrate on a challenge against Wladimir's older brother Vitali for the vacant WBC belt.
But he was stopped in the eighth round of the fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Sanders retired in December 2004 after beating Alexei Varakin in the second round of their contest in Austria, but returned to action two years later.
He lost his final bout, against Osbourne Machimana, for the South African heavyweight title in February 2008.

Cruz becomes first boxer to come out as gay

Puerto Rican featherweight Orlando Cruz has become the first active boxer to publicly reveal he is gay.
Cruz, 31, competed in the 2000 Olympic Games and is on the verge of a world title fight with the WBO.
"I've been fighting for more than 24 years and as I continue my career, I want to be true to myself," said Cruz, who has won 18 of his 22 contests.
