Right.I wasn't sure he was dead so I didn't connect the shocking ending.
Half expected Dex to show up and stand over Sam with a maniacal grin and say - So where is your god now???!!
Noooooo....I think even though they didn't share the same view on faith, I think Dex genuinely liked Brother Sam. I think Dex will find who killed Sam and that person will end up on Dex's table...along with Adama

IMHO, I'd have killed that douche too. Guy was just bragging about killing Brother Sam and then antagonized Dexter to prove to anyone else that he did it.
