US semi drivers can be ruthlessly inconsiderate assholes. I drive I-95 on occasion and it's a rare thing if they're not always doing something that makes me at least slightly nervous. I've actually been run off the road by one twice.

Two examples I see a lot on my drives: two lane interstate highway, two semis side-by side, both going slower than the speed limit, and the one in the left trying to pass is going approximately .25 mph faster than the other semi so it takes 45 minutes to pass. Bonus if you hit an uphill section and they both slow down to FAR under the speed limit.

Then, the trucks that drive in either the middle or far left lane, won't move, and you pass them on the right because that's the only available lane. Then they get all pissed because you passed them on the right. I've had them try and catch up to me and ride my ass after, or flash their brights at me, or lay on the horn.
