I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
I challenge anyone on this board or anyone you know to show that have relationship like this. It's the lazy stupid man myth.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
Every prime time TV show has these male types, it has to be true

My husband posted this on my fb wall and said, "Remind you of someone?" So yes, I do think they are out there, but I don't think it's the norm.

Nope. Maybe 40 years ago when there was a single wage earner as the norm, but not now.
After 15 years of marriage we've come to the conclusion that I'm better at the cleaning (maybe 80% for me) and the cooking (90% except for her Mac & Cheese, Turkey dinner and Lasagna and to-die-for baking. People have changed their plans in a minute when they know she's cooking her famous Lasagna with Nanaimo Bars for desert). Laundry is about 60% her and finances, taxes, insurance are all her. I do the maintenance of the place and the cars 100%.
If you fear this is a little lob-sided, fear not. I am compensated in ways other than money, and she is, er, "well compensated" as well.

At first, I did 100% of everything and worked about 50% more hours than him on top of that. All of the cooking, cleaning, meal planning, grocery shopping, home repairs (he still owns zero tools) laundry, etc. His only chore was to see that the yard got mowed and even that he paid someone else to do and I still did and do the trimming of the hedges and the flower beds and pulling/treating weeds. I still do all of that now, but I'm not working anymore, so it seems more even. He works about 35 hours a week and I take care of the home, my grandfather, and I will raise the children. I'm perfectly fine with that arrangement. My husband doesn't know the difference between a mop and a broom. I wish I was exaggerating.

In our home, wife does 90% of inside stuff. We take turns cooking, and whoever doesn't cook, cleans up. I do 90% outside, 100% vehicles, and 100% income. Wife does bills. She hasn't worked in about 4 years though. When she did, things were a little more even.
I had one, but my wife burned it, lol
