Okay, a question. After Pike and TylerVoq and Stamets made it back to Discovery, that time rift thingy was going to...explode? And just before it happened, they managed to warp away before any of the shock waves hit them. Sooooooooo....what happened to Kaminar? And why didn't Saru say anything knowing that his planet was going to be hit with massive time displacement waves? Or will that just be another plot hole that Discovery will tiptoe around and pretend didn't happen?

They were near Saru's planet? Man I gotta rewatch the episode.

I really don't know. I think there's a ratio of memory to enjoying TV shows that I'm failing at here with Discovery

That anomaly (which turned out to be the time rift) appeared and Pike said that Discovery was staying at Kaminar for now to be able to study it.

If it wasn't for the backstory (Star Trek in general, not this meth-fueled SJW abortion clinic staffed by blind doctors) and the sci-fi aspect, I probably wouldn't be wasting the hour watching it.

On a genuine sad note, it looks like the lesbian engineer is vamoose. I was hoping she might give a certain hysterical fag a well-earned break

I divided this recent episode into three acts.

1. Blatant rip off and mishandling of one of my favorite TOS episodes.
2. Spock and Burnham childhood reveal.
3. Stamets love story that if portrayed by heterosexual characters would be uncomfortable and distracting and unnecessary.

And, if they are going to use the Talos IV story line, why did they change the way the Talosians look?

Not sure what happened to her and I'm sad she's gone. She was one of the few good characters on the show.
