With just 18 days before President Trump completes his first year as president, he is now on track to exceed 2,000 false or misleading claims, according to our database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement uttered by the president.

As of Monday, the total stood at 1,950 claims in 347 days, or an average of 5.6 claims a day. (Our full interactive graphic can be found here.)

We also track the president’s flip-flops on our list, as they are so glaring. He spent the 2016 campaign telling supporters that the unemployment rate was really 42 percent and the official statistics were phony; now, on 46 occasions he has hailed the lowest unemployment rate in 17 years. It was already very low when he was elected — 4.6 percent, the lowest in a decade — so his failure to acknowledge that is misleading.

Either news is suppressed in America or Trump has managed to convince the population that everything he says or does is beyond reproach.

His ego will eventually be the end of him and hopefully it is soon.

For the Americans in this forum that think I am just bunging on, I note this topic has garnered 7,235 views as I post this.
I love info and always appreciate when someone posts interesting stats...but I really have no interest in American politics. The right and left discussion seeps into a lot of unrelated subject matter that I'm trying to read, and at times I find it hugely offensive. Like when I'm involved in a discussion about a TV show, and someone brings up - oh that's a typical liberal attitude, or that's a typical right wing way to look at the problem. Threads like this, fine, political discussion threads, wonderful...but not in My Dancing with the Stars forum!

I have a very simple view on politics. You can vote once every four years to make your wishes known. After that, if the person doesn't die in office or get impeached, there is absolutely nothing you can do to affect the choice that's already been made, until the next four year cycle renews. So why wring your hands for hours and shout at the sky for weeks out of your life over two sides of a coin? *

*I do it over the weather and TV shows and movies, so I do understand the primal need to sound off about shit

But you Canadians are not a laughing stock.... And Trudeau seems to be quite popular (for the right reasons).

However, pressure from the people can make a difference to many things..... I have respect for America and what it has done over the years but internationally, Trump is now being seen as undoing a lot of that. I do understand and can agree with putting your own country first but it has to be melded in with diplomacy and that is totally absent.

Australia has been a loyal and strong ally for many years but now Trump can't even be bothered appointing an ambassador to our country. It's been well over a year since we had one.

It's not that we're ignoring y'all, Monk. We love you guys. We're just terrified of all the critters in your backyard that can kill you.

Half the country is frozen, the other half is queuing for a book that he gave more publicity to than any in the history of books

    Donald J. Trump

....Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star.....
....to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!
Dear fucking Christ, what have you done to the world.

I read recently that his mental capacity is cause for concern.

Another false Tweet from the Commander in Tweets!!

The Dow spent 35 days to gain 1,000 points was in May 1999—at the height of the dot-com bubble, according to S&P Global.
