Me to.. I practically lived outside.. fires, sledding, bike riding, ramp jumping, exploring, shooting in the woods, swimming, motorcycle, 3&4 wheelers, a little cliff diving even.. Have seen beaver dams up close, all kinds of cool ass natural stuff. My childhood was amazing by today's standard..

I pretty much did all of that too, even the shooting part (pellet air gun)

Same here. I was raised poor, but the outdoor/physical connection made me feel privileged.

I feel spoilt compared to my parents, but the youngest generation has it much easier at an emotional/responsibility level.

i think we are all basically the same generation, what you guys are saying is reflected by my youth as well. it is really hard to get my kids out doing the same things i did, i don't know if it is an attention span thing or what nowadays, but when i was kid we would spend WEEKS working on forts in the woods...

Now to be fair and honest.. With everything I have been exposed to online these days I'm not sure I could handle my 9 year old disappearing in the woods for the whole day..
