How long did you do them for? I thought about trying to grill some wings, but it seemed like it might be a pain in the ass.

So this was an indirect grilling method. I don't know if you saw in the other thread, I recently bought a Weber charcoal kettle grill and have been trying all kinds of new stuff on it.. For this one I started a chimney of Weber charcoal briquettes (no lighter fluid kind) then I arranged the two baskets to the center of the grill so the heat would not directly blast the food. Once I got the grill up to about 375-400 I choked it off a bit to hold that temperature. Once I got there I then arranged the wings around the edge of the grate. After 30 minutes I flipped the wings 1 time, but I flipped them end to end as well as over when I did it.. (if that makes sense) After flipping I let them go another 30 minutes and probed a few of them for the 160 degrees I was looking for. Seems like an hour was about right.

I do something similar, but with side heat. This isn't mine. The ones I have are a bit smaller. It's great for Chicken, turkey and ribs. The weber grill top I use has hinge sides so I can just flip them up and add briquets or wood chips any time.

^^ These baskets I have separate as well and the edges of the grill also flip. I was trying to emulate what they call "vortex heating" by placing the heat directly in the center on this cook.
