Broome is totally on the middle of nowhere

Perth is a mid-sized city, with all of the usual modern City things to be done. However, I wouldn't describe the surrounds as anything special. However, Broome apparently has some pretty amazing landscape, of the epic outback variety. personally, I think the East and South Coast has a bit more to offer - but I'm sure Monk would disagree.
An enormous steer in Western Australia is making headlines. At 194cm 'Knickers' is the largest in his category in Australia. Story: https://t.co/ZI472MBUU4 #7News pic.twitter.com/MDEMwEbD8R

Yes it is worth it to visit.
We have over 2 million inhabitants and the greater metro area stretched for miles.....
Roger Federer loves us (maybe because we are paying him to... : )but we have a great City, Kings Park, Swan River, Fremantle, Rottnest Island, White Sandy Beaches for miles along the coast, wineries on the doorstep in the Swan Valley together with heaps of craft breweries!!! .... and more.
Travel to our southwest to one of the world's best wine regions (Margaret River) or the Great Southern, Albany for spectacular coastal sites.
But the best thing of all is:-

I was in Australia watching the 1983 America's Cup, when Australia II defeated Dennis Connor and Liberty to take the Cup away for the first time in 132 years. I remembered it as being held in Perth, but looking it up now, it was in Rhode Island, US, but the winning team was from Perth. I had never watched the races before, and the Aussies were going mad with excitement.
That was also the first year I saw a topless beach. I was stunned by the "fried eggs".
Also the year I realized what a good lamb chop was, and how it is always best served with mint jelly.
Also the year... well, I'll leave the South African girl out of this...
I am going to look up Broome, sounds lovely. I was in awe of the outback, back when you could still climb Ayers Rock. I imagine my name is still on an archived guest book somewhere.
