An interesting little pocket of Australia that no one's heard about... Just felt like sharing!
The backdrop is I've been watching a lot of nature documentaries of the last week. Particularly Planet Earth 2 narrated by David Attenborough. I got the 4K discs and the picture is out of this world. Absolutely stunning.
We can be as stupid as anyone.....
We also have our share of stupid "greenies" who put ideology above everything else.

There is an Australian fungus called "The Stonemaker Fungus" that only shows up right after a forest fire. They live underground in a stone-like mycelium and pop up through the ashes 2-10 days after the fire, sometimes as infrequent as every 100 years.
