Its like ET and the goonies.. A show with an 80's nostalgic feel with a science fiction premise. Not quote as goofy as the Goonies though, shit gets real..

Yea, might be a bit much for some younger kids. Dress up like a Demogorgon and hide under their bed.

I like it. Very nostalgic, except I can't fully relate to the small american town vibe.

I'm up to the part where they look up microfiches in the library on the dodgy company. I can't believe that was how the world once was, only one generation ago.

I've avoided this thread just for that reason, me and the wife finished the season up last night

Sorry, I haven't gotten through it yet. I've been kind of apathetic towards watching TV as of late. I still have the last two episodes of TWD and The Gifted to watch.

I can't help it. I just get sick of TV sometimes. And oddly enough, I just bought a bigger one....

I wasn't a huge fan of the first season or this one. Entertaining yes, but if 11 opens these gates and closes them, I see a way to stop the insanity

I think the 80's premise hooks people, yet it doesn't use the premise throughout. For example I played D&D, the kids keep referring to rules of the party and you don't ever see them playing it again. Some of the music was good...but if you compare seasons 1 and 2, season 2 didn't tell us anything more about the Upside Down or really expand the universe.

There was a lot of complaining about episode 7 during season 2 (where 11 went on a road trip and met the Scooby death-gang) because it killed the momentum of the main story, set a completely different tone using kids to kill off random people they felt deserved punishment whether they were guilty or not. I agree with a lot of this and while I think meeting other kids from the program would be cool, they handled it in such an obscure way it felt like a distraction.

    You crazy

I liked season 1 and I thought this season was even better (except for episode 7 as you mentioned, not sure what the whole point of that was TBH and seemed rather pointless). I'm already looking forward to season 3.
