Gawd the latest episode of Discovery was like a CW teen angst drama...dating between bridge officers, Sarek just about crying, the captain boinking an Admiral on a mission...and the engineer and chief of security(?) having an openly gay relationship?? Oh yeah, and the mutineer and murderer of over 8000 people just got promoted to science officer

The Orville was supposed to be a comedy, but I honestly don't find it that amusing. I haven't even bothered with the new Star Trek and I don't think that I'm going to.
The only reason I'm watching the Orville now is because Adrianne Palicki is hot and there isn't anything else on during the time slot that I have a burning desire to watch.

the fact that you watched a second episode already by default makes it better than star trek
