Cool If you shop at Walmart regularly for food, here's a nice little perk

The wife overheard a couple of people at her work talking about a feature on the Walmart app called 'Savings Catcher' and after checking it out, it's pretty damn cool. I stop at Walmart quite regularly for groceries just because it's convenient and they have pretty decent prices. But, this makes it even better. You will need the Walmart app on your smart phone for this though.

Go shopping at Walmart, when you are done, open the Walmart app and go to the Savings Catcher section. Scan the barcode on your receipt and Walmart will scan sales/advertised prices at stores in a 50 mile radius of you. If they find a lower price, they will credit you the difference. So far, 2 out of the 3 receipts I have scanned and have been processed have found better deals for me and have given me a credit to use at Walmart. Now, to use the credit, you will have to use their 'Walmart Pay' feature which is like Apple Pay or Samsung Pay or Android Pay and all those apps of the same type. But to save money, that will make it worth using their app at Walmart (at least for me).

You go to Walmart a LOT. And you drink too much Pepsi.

You ever heard of this thing called food that people need to consume, that you need to replace on a regular basis?

And the Pepsi is for the wife, that stuff is garbage.

    Coke > Pepsi

What is this "food" you speak of? Sounds like liberal nonsense.

That's a pretty effective app because the usual thing is the store says they will price match, yet you have to do the legwork to prove it. (shop at two places, provide comparison info or receipts, then prove it)

Yep, they're everywhere. I shop there, Costco or Super Store for bulk stuff like TP and detergent, cereal, rice, and that sort of shit but there isn't one downtown. I try and shop at a local fruit & veggie stand because it has the best and cheapest produce, and then end up at Save On or Safeway for medium-sized shops. We also have this unreal Asian grocer here called T&T which has regular grocery items but also phenomenal selections of frozen and dry Thai/Chinese/Japanese products.

Yes I watched Walmart shut down quite a few stores in the strip mall it was built in. I have no shame shopping there, no more than I have shopping at Superstore.

If a pound of butter is 1.27 cheaper, I go to that place

Of course we don't get the clientele I've seen in some of the US Walmart pictures

As funny as those People of Walmart pix can be, I shop at Walmart quite often for groceries and I have yet to see anyone that looks like the people in those pix.
