A Shippensburg man is facing charges after police found him covered in his own blood and brandishing a fire poker at someone else's home.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Carlisle, the incident occurred like this:
After a 911 hang up around 2:15 p.m. Saturday, police went to Bobcat Road in Lower Frankford Township to investigate.
They found Matthew G. Kilgore covered in his own blood, wielding a fire poker, and screaming that "they" were trying to "get him."
Kilgore had approached the home in this state, trying to contact a resident.
Police found Kilgore was under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. They charged him with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and transported him to an area hospital for evaluation.
