    Personally, I believe life begins at conception. Science's definition of life includes single-celled organisms that interact with their environment. From conception, you have a multi-celled organism developing rapidly inside an environment designed to feed, nourish, and protect it. Viability makes no difference. If you take an amoeba out of its environment, you're killing it. The difference is, we don't criminalize murdering amoebas.

    That and amoebas don't know whether they are dead or alive. The level of consciousness just isn't there.. It's an organism on auto-pilot.
