That's the entire problem with the argument. "Yes or no" isn't the question for 99.99% of people, only for the far edges of each perspective. They want us to think that's the question, but it's not.

To be, or not to be, that is the question.

I read that and the mental images of Obama and Pelosi saying it rushed into my mind. Because of that, if I ever meet you in person, I'm giving you the biggest wedgie you've ever had in your entire life. You're gonna be walking funny for days, hombre.

I'm guessing he's saying it's 'at what point during a term is it ok/not ok to abort.'

I guess a few will still say contraceptive is wrong, or that the 'day after' pill is. Personally I know the day after pill doesn't even always work (I know of someone close to me taking one after a night of having a ton of sex and it failed), so then you're into 'true' abortion territory. Then the question becomes: is it ok the entire first trimester? Later? Only when medically necessary or when rape is a factor? I think that's the real question RBP is referring to. Could be mistaken though.

    No, you're correct.

Conversely, some will say until the baby is fully out of the womb it can be killed. I even saw a video of a guy saying a baby can be killed until it provides proof it is sentient.

Yes/No is the talking point the fringe use to perpetual debate a subject that should have been settled in the 1970's.

You're probably right it should've been settled ages ago. Then again if you put me in charge of what week it's ok up until... well it's too big a decision for my pee-brain.

But it's not. In 1973, viability was estimated at 22 weeks. Medical technology has only slightly improved that. I maintain that very few activists actually know what Roe v Wade says. But when legislation is introduced to limited abortions to 20 weeks, people lose their minds. Silliness.

    What is the Canadian standard?

Mind you, I am not addressing exceptions, but there can be some. Here, "life of the mother" - meaning she would die - was replaced with "health of the mother" meaning anything she wanted to complain about. "It could make me sad" became a legitimate reason for a late term abortion of a viable fetus. More silliness.

Good point, it's 24 weeks here which is right around viability, but as you mention exceptions can be made. I have no objection with the current laws here.

See? Simple. And yet the activists want us to believe it's an insane intrusion on female rights.
