My good friend and his wife are doctors. Their mom has breast cancer and is refusing actual treatment. She's instead doing cleanses and testing her urine PH. As my friend says, testing your urine PH is the biggest bunch of bullshit in the homeopathy world - your body's PH is one of the most stable parts of your body. If it's actually off you're fucked, and testing your urine has actually nothing to do with it.

It's really sad, he can hardly talk about it it's so frustrating for him. It seems like the wiser and stronger our scientific community gets, the more people feel this need to shun it. Can't wrap my head around it

wow, that is really sad. at least when both my parents had minor cancer related diagnoses, they were totally on board with my advice. they have both not had anything come back at least for 5+ years

and hal, you are right. if a person is in overall poor health, they will respond differently to a healthy person to treatments. you can think about it this way, if the persons body is close to the edge, minor stresses (i.e. chemo, radiation) will push them usually over to a point of no return

also, generally people like to talk about statistics for 'how long do i have to live if i get diagnosed with X?'. There is always a range and sometimes they will say 5-year-survival rates are like 20% for people with advanced stage pancreatic cancer for example. What that means is that 4 of 5 people will have died within 5 years, but 1 of 5 didn't. I am only one person, I account for 100% of my survival rate. Anything I can do health wise to push myself towards a better outcome, you are damn sure I will be doing it instead of giving up or trying something that lacks any science behind it

Truly. They think Chemistry is a four letter word. All this info at their fingertips and some sick fucks who make shit up prey on them. Can you even imagine how much money has had to be spent refuting anti-vaxers in recent years? And it falls on deaf ears for a (hopefully) small but thick-skulled community. It's sickening.
