When you're invested in the characters, I think the most intense death was Dean's at the hands of Lilith, and then seeing him chained up in Hell. That whole progression was brutal. The deaths in the first two seasons were pretty intense. I took Jo's death in season 5 pretty hard because I had a crush on Alona Tal and I really liked her character.

And there was always a story arc, it's just that they couldn't focus on it all the time and have 23 episodes per season. Season 1 and 2 - finding Dad and killing Yellow Eyes.

Intro deaths for all 10 seasons... I dunno, I've found some of the more recent ones to be pretty laughable.

It was monster of the week for a long time, even after meeting the yellow eyed demon. What I meant was that they gained footing when demons and certain story ideas took hold...angels, even leviathans...and of course everyone going to hell and/or dying and/or being trapped in purgatory.

I didn't mean all intros for 10 seasons have been wild, just that for a show that's pumped out a lot of episodes, they've managed to keep some fresh ideas

Personally, I thought the first several seasons were the best, especially the first 2. They were darker, more tense, and a tad more serious than what the show is today. They probably should have stopped after season 5, but I guess at this point they'll keep it going as long as people are still watching.

I prefered it from S3 onwards tbh

 

Thought it was better when the angels showed up plus Bobby was in it a lot more from S3 onwards......... ya idjits

The heaven break in/out was great too, Bobby letting out all the other Bobby's Hope to fuck they kill off Crowley's mum soon, fuckin' hate her!
