CONUS vacation ideas
Looking for ideas to take my wife and youngest daughter on a late summer vacation. Probably no more than 6-7 days. Has to be stateside as youngest daughter doesn't have passport. Guess I could get her a passport, but international trip would probably be more than I could afford right now. Hoping to find someplace relatively cool, with horseback ( for the daughter) maybe some light hiking, rafting or canoeing, and neat scenery.
So toss up some ideas!

Doesn't necessarily need to be that particular place, but the Colorado mountains would have everything you would be looking for, and it's not too far away really.
