Neighbours angry after artist leaves painting called ‘Double a**l penetration’ up in window

A young artist left a rather saucy painting entitled ‘double a**l penetration’ on display in her window by accident – then went away to a festival for two days.

Neighbours threatened to call police after Lucy Briscoe-Rimmer, 20, left the painting (which shows explicit bum stuff) on display.

Briscoe-Rimmer says that she put the painting up to block sunlight – then ‘forgot’ about it.

She said, ‘I put the painting up to block the sunlight but my boyfriend opened the window before we left but forgot to turn the picture back. We didn’t even think about it!”

Her housemate, Morgan Fleur, 20, said: ‘I had knocks from neighbours saying they were going to get the police around. Obviously I understand people’s concerns but I only saw the painting today.



‘As my room is on the ground floor, I didn’t see it until I was told about it.

‘I didn’t think twice until I saw the note from our neighbour. The neighbours weren’t happy understandably.’

The note that Morgan received from ‘no 1’ read: ‘Hi, could you please remove the poster from your front bedroom window.

‘As, although you may not be aware this is a family neighbourhood you are facing two young family homes with children aged 2, 3, 4 and 6. I myself also find the poster very offensive.’

The landlord of the house entered Lucy’s locked room and moved the painting from out of sight.

Lucy said that the painting is due to be hung in Antwerp Mansion in Manchester later this year.



Lucy said: The painting is going up in a gallery in September. It’s from my project at university where I focused on pornography in art.

The painting was my attempt to turn something that’s quite disgusting into something that actually people could look at. I wanted to present a taboo act and depict it in a traditional form of art.

‘I know it shouldn’t be seen by children but at the end of the day it’s just art and my attempt to capture an important issue.”

Where I work a group took a photo of their buddy, blew it up and photoshopped a big cock by his mouth. Put it in a nice wood frame and hung it on the wall of the rental. Which would have been fine If the person that does final inspection would have noticed it before the family with young kids checked in days later.

Worst part is the cleaning girls apparently saw it and said nothing.

Glad I wasn't there to receive THAT phone call.
