    Science Space Station Viewing Schedule

Find the nearest point to you on the map. Keep clicking until you see blue tags and a link saying View sighting opportunities. Click it and a schedule will appear.

Schedule will state the time, direction to look and degree. The appears heading tells you direction and degree to look for.

Face the starting direction. The horizon is zero degrees, directly over your head is 90 degrees. Use the viewing chart to see where the space station will be in the sky.

I did this last night and it was pretty cool. Saw a brightly lit object about as big as a planet and it was moving fast

Last night I went out for my 6:03 pm viewing. It wasn't quite dark yet and there was plane traveling from north to south leaving a huge contrail.

Right on schedule the space station appeared in the SW sky at 32 degrees traveling north east over my head.

With what had to an optical illusion, the brightly lit space station looked bigger and lower than the plane that just passed over

That thing is disturbingly bright and easy to see. It also travels fast across the sky.

I lucked out and got two clear nights in a row. For most nights I have two times to see it and the earlier one always has a longer window, three or four minutes.

I see a lot of planes and this thing looked larger and brighter.
