Odds to win 2013 World Series
Four teams stand out from pack in Vegas

As pitchers and catchers report to spring training this week, the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers, both at 7-to-1, sit atop the LVH SuperBook's odds to win the 2013 World Series Two NL clubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals, are next at 8-to-1.

The early World Series buzz has surrounded the possibility of a Freeway Series in 2013, but those residing in the Motor City and the nation’s capital anticipate a different outcome.

The Nationals might have the best pitching staff in the game. Stephen Strasburg fronts a deep rotation that also includes Jordan Zimmermann, Gio Gonzalez and Dan Haren. The starters will hand the ball off to a potentially lights-out bullpen that will be able to protect slim leads throughout the season.

The Tigers rotation doesn't boast the same depth, but ace Justin Verlander is among the best in the game. Offensively, the Tigers routinely outscore the opposition behind a lineup driven by Austin Jackson, Torii Hunter, Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez.
