The guy in front of me at Target bought $220 in bags of candy.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.

Damn
My parents have had years where they get 200+ kids on Halloween. Streets are flat in their area and the houses are fairly close together, whereas most of their part of town is hilly so I think people ship their kids in... even then though $220 must be well over a thousand mini bars
150 minibars was $15 at target last weekend, so it would be ~2200 candies
I bought about $30 worth of candy for Halloween one year and it was a ton of candy. After trick or treating was over, I gave out maybe 10% of it, and I was pretty generous unless a kid pissed me off. And it was actually a pretty good year for trick or treaters. Anyway, I was left with the rest. It took a looooong time to get rid of it. Then after that year, it just started going down hill. Less and less kids came by. I kept rolling back how much I spent, because I would end up having to eat the lion's share of it. The shit would still be around in March. This year I just bought one of those huge bags of four different minibars: Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Twix, and Snickers... 225 pieces (allegedly). There ain't a whole lot of kids in this neighborhood, but I've got little kids on both sides of me, and I can just pawn any leftovers off to them, mostly to the kids to the right of me. Their parents are always helping me out with stuff. I think last year, I gave the two little twin girls freakishly huge bags of candy, and their mother told me her and her husband were eating most of it. For some odd reason the twins got tired of it and told their parents they didn't want any more. They're cute little kids, but man, they're fucking weird.

2 things to share.
1st, I'm home after 13 months. And Melbourne came out of lockown yesterday
2nd, I plugged my S10 into a dangling USB-C cable out of my monitor (just to charge it), and before I know it this "Dex" thing pops up and I have an entire workstation on my 4k screen, with pretty smooth functionality. And get this. I am still able to use my phone at the same time, browse, take a pic an upload it, while at the same time connect and use wirlesse mouse and keyboard for the big screen.
Technology is insane. I bet I still don't know half the things my phone can do

That's really cool.
We had our Halloween party tonight. My wife made sangria and drank a bunch plus some tequila shots. I stuck to a few light beers.. She's laying in the fetal position on the bathroom floor and I'm checking on her every few minutes while she apologizes for being so drunk (which I've told her multiple times there's no need to apologize for). When do you get too old to taunt the liquor?
Happy Halloween everybody.

Happy Halloween guys! We don't really celebrate it over here, but I had ride over and had a nice dinner with family.

Fml. Just got home and seems my sister in law borrowed the truck again to go shopping. She claims to not know what happened, and that she didn't hit anything. That's fucking pole paint. How the fuck can you hit a pole and not know it. Not the first time she's used the truck and it developed random scratches and dings. I know accidents happen, but fuck!
Family or not, I would be charging them for whatever out of pocket costs there would be to fix it.
EDIT: ask her where she went shopping, then you can probably find the route she used and the pole she hit.
