wew lad
augmented some point of practice I was doing, unleashed things I need to take some time to refine and integrate
sufficient to take leave from work
settling would seem to indicate its a good idea to also take leave of what's going on in the world - I've already seen enough and know where we are on the trail, its not really doing a whole lot of good to have the magnifying glass on all the flora & fauna we pass on the trip. you guys dont think certain flowers are plastic but that's ok, these things will remain to be examined later, enough energy has been spent for the time being.
may be around here or there but for the time being fuck computers, fuck the internet, fuck work
this ladybug was flying wildly about my desk and crashed on my mousepad. gave it a dab of water like the size of it, its spent the last like 5 minutes drinking the whole thing down, almost gone

I was gonna go throw today, but damn its windy and chilly
was sitting in 2nd place at putting league when I left last night, should mean some cash I keep migrating what putters I'm using, I've gotta have like 50 of 'em by now
Why does it always seem like other people have the best luck in the world and I have no luck at all?

Disc golf, man! I've mentioned it a handful of times, perhaps you just missed it Now that I think of it I posted a cool down under course over in the all things aussie thread, NZ where they did Lotr, great views there. It got a lot more popular when covid came and everything shut down. I was rather skeptical at first glance but after going and playing, nope, this shit is fun. All the essence of ball golf, different flight physics, and mostly free to go play. Takes 1:30-2 hours a round of 18, everything's shrunk from yards to feet more or less. Par 5s are somewhat rare though and the norm is par 3s at most courses, home is par 57.
A buddy of mine raised his hand to be el capitan of our b squad team at our home course for Team Challenge over the winter so I said fuckit I'll play. Got a home match tomorrow so I will be making a bigass pot of chili today for it since home team provides food. I usually make a 2-3 alarm habanero beef/pork recipe, no recipe
Oh nice, my buddy does a/b pool and women separately at putting league, hell yeah I won that shit not going against the A pool guys

Go walking up to hole 6 to start yesterday and my buddy (capt) tells me "I had every intention of getting you a favorable matchup, but unfortunately you and I are in the shit here"
I checked after the match and yep, dude had +105 rating points on me. I still shoulda beaten him, I was pretty fkn pissed I didnt, lost 2 w 1 to go.
We still won the day, but boy was I pissed about losing that friggin match. Had a wack drive on 6 but that's hard to birdie anyway, wack on 4 12 13 14 18, 15 is short and I thought he had a long putt so I laid up then I look and oh...shit he's got 15 feet, I'da went for that death putt with the 20 foot drop behind it if I paid better attention. It was enough fk'n up that I was pissed, lol. But what got me the most was chaining out my birdie putt on 1 and missing the comeback from down in the stream after, that woulda set us even with 4 to go instead of going into hole 2 down 2. It was on the side of an embankment and ~30 ft...but I make those all day
Afternoon came and my body felt like such shit that my partner carried me the entire round. I had one good putt on 13 after we both air mailed a 40 footer for par and went way the fuck down this hill, but I had a good bogey save from 70 feet away and 20 feet down....but other than that my body was just not behaving and giving me arbitrary %s of output from various body parts, it just results in discs all over the goddamn place
TC is fun but its a bit too much, it was chilly & rainy all day yesterday. My chili is all gone, so that's good.

Moreso just that in ball golf everything's measured in yards, disc golf we go by feet....but you metric folks it stays meters
Definitely dedicated courses. They seem to vary a lot more than ball golf in that ball golf its pretty much always par 72 unless its a chip n putt course, but disc is all over the place. Page Park is a par 57.
Dad's a big golfer too, always loves to bring out that story of beating this other top tier guy in a high school match back in the day 9 with 8 to go He's got a perfect Ben Hogan swing, or at least he used to. Got me golfing when I was 5, which is most likely the reason I can whip a disc lefty
I'll put up a vid from page in wtf
