got some pics
Im just giving you a hard time Hal.. (really I just want to see the pics of the destruction)
Imagine a large wall made of gyprock...the bottom becomes unhinged and it's swaying back and forth...the entire wall. Then because of it's own weight, it cracks and chunks of gyprock the size of Lance come raining down.
My supervisor yesterday - EVERYONE! GET AWAY FROM THAT AREA! .......hal? Would you mind cleaning up some of that, don't mind the falling chunks
So what I heard was - Everyone of worth, move away so you don't get hurt! Hal, hang out back here for awhile
Ok this is half of the wall that separates us from the courier company on the left of this shot...
I'm right beside the pallet on the left with the forklift and hear this CRAAAAAACK and then a boom.
I look down and notice the wall has shifted..
I walk down to the end of the aisle and see sunlight.... and then the entire wall bows out about 10 feet to the left and starts swinging back and forth...
I walk back up the aisle and some mook from next door pokes his pointy head in through this new opening and screams - One of you guys musta hit the wall with the forklift!!! I respond quietly - Fuck off, have you noticed the wind bringing down trees and signs?
Then I heard something, looked up and saw the entire wall cracking and chunks hanging by a thread. Please note all of the polly-filla already on the wall. This has happened before...and will happen again.
another shot of the epicenter...picture the entire wall swinging out that far and then swaying back to where the blue rack is...
To lighten the mood...a shot of my desk and me hard at work
Jesus H. Christ! Shouldn't boss man be bringing in a structural engineer to assess the damage? He could have a flattened workspace (and personnel) if he's not careful!
Maybe a discreet call into some Gov't agency, like Labour Standards is in order, Hal? Seriously...
