Audition.
Man, that flick's so fucked up.

How am I gonna put this?
Ummm... I can say that any film is worth seeing at least once.
I've watched it once and I have no desire to see it again. Not because it's bad, but...well, let's put it this way:
It came out in '99 and there's certainly films that've been put out since then that make it look like a kid's story nowadays. But still, because of that flick, I seriously think twice about the women I think about dating. More so than Fatal Attraction makes me think about the women that I think about dating. And since I've seen Audition, I have not had a single girlfriend. So I guess I can say that Audition is one of many contributing factors to why I choose to remain a single man today.
Watch it. I think you've watched far far worse as far as production goes. It's certainly a well made foreign film. It starts slow, but there's a certain point where it picks up and I liken it to getting smashed in the face with a sledgehammer in the middle of having a really great day. It'll make you uncomfortable to say the least. You're going to hate the fact that it's not an English film. I know you hate reading subtitles. The copy I watched didn't have English overdubs, just subtitles, and I don't know if they released a version with English overdubs since then.
Again, any film's worth sitting through once.

I'll probably give it a go then...although I always hear how great Japanese horror flicks are, then I end up watching them and to say I have been completely let down after seeing them would be an understatement.
But like you said, every movie is worth seeing once...and I've seen som e bad ones
Not sure where you got this from, I watch quite a few foreign films and I always watch the subtitled versions, I absolutely HATE dubbed films. I have no problem at all with subtitles.

What's the worst horror film you've watched, in terms of how uncomfortable it made you?
