it's nice when the system works well for once

my family doc retired and the clinic didn't think to notify any patients...

so today I :

1. located doctors taking new patients
2. called one about 2 miles from my house
3. got a meet n greet
4. got right in at the appointed time, no waiting
5. besides the meet n greet I got:
a) a referral to a specialists for a minor ongoing thing
b) blood pressure, heart etc all taken/looked at
c) all aspects of the first part of a full physical (minus the blood and ECG stuff)
d) any and all questions answered about stuff happening to my bod since quitting smoking
e) some very good advice




* my new family doc is a tall African woman who wore a Muslim headband....and she had no compunctions about fingerbanging me and turning me into a puppet for the rectal exam!
