Very nice, Lance! Or should I say Richie McRicherson!

It's just the S model, the 'upgrades' that were included in the other models didn't really justify the price difference. We weren't even planning on buying for sure that day, just looking (replacing the g/f's Nissan Sentra) but every time we told them no and that we were leaving, the deal kept getting better and better. They ended up taking $6K off the sticker price and free oil changes/service calls for the life of the lease. $279/month for a vehicle that had a nearly $33K sticker price.
And it's still pretty damn fancy for being the S model anyway, so she's pretty happy.

Plus one reason not to go an get the fancier models is the fact that the back end of it will be filled with ginormous dogs from time to time
That's really the reason we needed to upgrade her little car to an SUV.
my Dad just bought a Buick Murano and dealt with an older salesman..
apparently the guy was doing the - I'll just have to go ask my manager - each time they haggled on price. My brother was with my Dad and at one point when the salesguy went across the lot to 'talk' to someone...they left and came home
Dad gets a phone call from the salesguy and magically the car has dropped 5000 since he went to ask his manager....Dad got a new 2014 for 20000...pretty good price up here and four years full warranty
Yup, just a little over 2 years ago or so, but with the 2 big dogs, we've outgrown that car. Got a mad amount on trade in for it though, still in damn good shape and under 70K miles
Yeah, it's bullshit that they feel the need to play that game, but I guess there are always the people that will jump on the first price out of the saleman's mouth. At the end the sale's manager was telling us that they get paid flat rate there, he doesn't care if the car sells for $50,000 or $50, he gets the same, he just needed to sell 10 cars that day. By just saying no over and over, we got a damn good deal.
My Dad used to sell geophysical data for a living...and bro is a landman who negotiates with land owners and writes contracts...
two guys that a salesmen doesn't really want to see when making a deal
I think he was kinda exaggerating a wee bit

I tried riding one of those
you get interesting new scrapes and bumps....on the back of your shoulders, head, legs
Had to break down and buy one. Around here, a comparable used one is $1900 or so. I got this for $2500 ttl out the door. Specs: 16', 4000# axles, spare, ramps, and lifetime warranty (excluding wood and tires). I have projects coming up that require a trailer, and I'm tired of trying to borrow a trailer when I need one.
