Have any of you read the Walking Dead series of novels ( not comics ) by Robert Kirkman?

I actually have the novels at home, got them for free! My mum works part time for a house cleaning company and one of their customers was clearing out a heap of books, she grabbed the zombie ones for me
that's a good mummy.
The story line in the novels is completely different from the show.I haven't read the comics so have now idea how they relate.

The 'dream sequence' or any variance of it, is the biggest cop-out in TV and if TWD pulled that, I will never look at the show the same way again.
