Glad to be home though, I think 5 nights there was just the right amount. I'm bagged.
Did you check out the WTC monument?

I sure did, it was absolutely beautiful. The two reflecting pools where the towers stood are breathtaking and the whole site is extremely tasteful and respectful. The new One World tower is wild too, just massive. It's a perfect middle finger to terrorism.

Forgot to mention... tried Shake Shack so I can weigh in on the Shake Shack vs In-n-Out Debate

    I'm diving deep, indulge me:

In-N-Out is so cheap. Their burgers are picture perfect, the buns are soft on the outside and toasted with butter inside, and the lettuce and tomato is crisp and fresh. Their special sauce is the bomb, reminds me of a local favorite burger chain in BC 'White Spot.' Not to mention the friendly service and infinite options to make custom burgers (you can have fresh and caramelized onions on your burger). They hand cut their fries in house and douse them in their secret sauce, which again is great.

Shake Shack's natural Angus burger patty is extremely flavorful, thicker, fattier and more delicious, as is their bacon. They have these beautiful yellow potato buns too which are soft and sweet. That said, it's twice the price or more. They serve their burgers with crinkle cut fries. Perhaps more flavorful on their own, but they can't hold a candle to Animal Style at In-n-Out

Honestly, the Shack Shack burger offers better meat, but when you consider the price, vastly superior service/happier employees, garnishes and sauce, In-n-Out has to edge out Shake Shack. If you could throw a Shake Shack patty on an In-N-Out burger, you may have the perfect fast food.

    Thoughts?

I fucked up and bought a case of 'daylight' LED A19 bulbs instead of soft white.... holy crap what an unfortunate mistake. It's so white and kind of jarring especially in my little den. Not cozy at all, not to mention it looks stupid because the hallway right outside the den is all very orangy soft white halogen lights. Won't do that again.

First, white is right, brother, don't be ashamed of your whiteness.
Second, the pure white light is fair superior. Orange light bad.
Third, the answer is hue adjusting LED lights that are network enabled. I personally prefer the dimmable, but you may prefer the hue adjustment. Change it, turn it on/off, through your phone or smart device.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.

    Fair points.

I actually just got my Google Listening Device set up. I think you need some sort of starter kit from Phillips to start adding the lightbulbs through your google home first though correct? Or did you just buy lightbulbs that work direct with Google or Alexa?

I am all in on Kasa tp-link bulbs. They are amazing. No hub, control through Alexa or the app. I prefer the smart bulbs to the smart plugs.

Very interesting, I didn't realize there were some that worked directly without HUBs on the market now. Kasa's look good, 22 years they're rated for, jeeze.

You will both be murdered by your AI devices. The machines will lull you into a false sense of security, then one night, while you're asleep, the house AI will let the murder bots in....

He's complicit. He's running on a platform of trying to take away the guns that you'll need to start the rebellion against the machines.

Can't shoot a nanobot swarm. Hopefully Alexa will play a soothing song as she melts my brain.
