Long story short: the server was running an outdated and unsupported version of the OS. We had the OS updated and then we found out that the forum software is incompatible with the new version of PHP in the new OS. So we bought the newest version of the forum software. Tried to upgrade to that but we unknowingly skipped a step. After a lot of help from the host that the forum is located on, we were able to get the right combination to get the forum back online. So, we have the updated OS, but outdated PHP and forum software at the moment, but we're online which is the most important thing.

We do still plan on updating to the newest forum software version now though since we forked out the $200 for it. But the time to do that is still TBD.

Thank you for the offer but it's not necessary. Me and Goof pay for and run the forum so we all have a place to gather, have fun, and a way for us to all stay together. We do it 'cuz we love you guys

Doubtful, but even if we could, it's more than likely in our best interest to update to the newest version of everything. The current VB version we're on (4.x) doesn't receive much in the way of support anymore, just like the OS we had been running. As it is, to keep this version going that we're on now, we have to run an outdated and no longer supported version of PHP, which could be a security risk at some point.
