My brother just returned This little jewel to my collection.
AR-7 Explorer. It comes apart and the pieces fit inside the water tight floating stock.
Great compact backpacking/survival semi auto .22 LR.
James Bond used one in "From Russia With Love"

I always liked the concept of the AR-7 but everyone I have talked to that owns one say they are very unreliable. Have you had good luck with yours Griffin?

It used to shoot fine. My Brother took it backpacking about 20 years ago And I got it back today.
I'll clean and oil it then get back to you on that.
From what I have read, the Henry version built today is a better rifle than the Charter Arms that I have.
The Charter Arms just needs a high velocity round so finding the right diet for it is the ticket.Feeding cheap rounds through it is what caused the malfunctions people complain about.
Yeah, lol. I lent a Rugar P-89 to my wifes uncle sometime around 1995. I asked him about it a few years ago, he asked about shipping etc,, I gave him instructions,, still haven't seen it.. Piece of shit gun so no loss but it still kinda pisses me off.
I kinda remember the same story about the Henrys being better, at the time I was suppressing everything so I ruled it out because they more than likely wouldn't work with subsonic rounds..

They must not allow fore grips in that tournament.

this is like what i own , a webley falcon .22 air rifle .mine was my granddad's ,my mum can remember using it when she was a child in the 50's or 60's and i remember 1st being shown how to fire it in the 80's ,i don't think it would kill much tbh but i use it for paper targets in my garden and plan on letting my kid try it when's she's a bit older ,
This looks almost identical to mine except I have a quad rail on the front.
