It wasn't that bad. A few things that didn't make sense is the Phoenix force entering Jean in space but it looked as if it was already in her in the X-Men: Apocalypse movie when she unleashed her full power at the end to kill Apocalypse. So yeah, they apparently retconned that. Jean could've went a lot darker in this film like she did in the comics. Also, Jean's final scene where she took the alien into space and then disintegrated it: Why did Jean disappear after that? I get that she was doing it because she knew she couldn't control the Phoenix Force and so to protect her family she had to leave, but the way they did it could have been so much better and more clear. Again, I don't think Sophie Turner was a good Jean Grey, but she wasn't half bad here. She emoted well and didn't come off so pretentious in this one. The dialog could've been a tad better, but it wasn't Lucas bad. People slammed this film but it was better than the pile of shit that was The Last Stand. The Dark Phoenix story line is just wicked hard to adapt to film.
I liked individual scenes, but in total the whole thing was an illogical mess. I know nothing about the story, but it's as though they tried to cram in 3 movies into one.

Agree that Sophie Turner fitted her roll well, but the other 3 star cast were underutilised and maybe even the wrong actors for the roles.

The dialog could've been a tad better, but it wasn't Lucas bad.
Yes, but I think there was a lot more room for improvement.

    Life

Saw it pop up on Netflix and remembered the trailer looked okay a few years back. It was a steaming pile of Alien-wannabe shit. Why would you pay Jake Gyllenhaal & Ryan Reynolds to then have zero character development or real emotion of any kind?

Hadn't seen it in a long time and the kid had never seen it, so it was a good Sunday evening movie to watch.

    Visually amazing.

Based on a novella by Liu Cixin, The Wandering Earth tells the story of a time in the not too distant future when our sun has begun the process of dying, and it's terminal expansion threatens to extinguish all life on Earth. As a solution, the United Earth Government (UEG) has commissioned ten thousand "earth engines" designed to propel our planet out of the solar system to the nearest inhabitable system...

    Watched El Camino.

Not bad, well produced, great cinematography and all that, just not sure it really felt necessary? I think I liked the ending of Breaking Bad better left unsaid.

It was just a long "last" episode.
