Out of interest, on this point.
Excluding all the other various criminal proceedings etc, and just looking at the ex-president, it seems without doubt that he had hoards of classified docs, and moved them about, and denied he had them, and was eventually caught with them, do you see this as an issue for him? Criminally? Or do you see it only a witch hunt to try to stop him regaining office?

They all have classified docs that they shouldn't be keeping, but he's the only one they're going after.

I am aware of other people having been mentioned, but that doesn't actually answer the question. Should he be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for such flagrant disregard of the intelligence chums?
If he is the yardstick by which follow ups things occur, then to what degree should this progress, in your opinion?
I've no opinion, as it isn't my country, nor my legal system. Our bunch of cunt bankrupted the country, lined their own and their mates pockets with cash under the guise of covid relief, and when the new lot get in, I hope the legal process is put in place to indite any of them that are guilty and punish the fuck out of them. Currently they are laughing at our system, and I very much have an opinion on that.

Your original question is above. I read that as "Should Trump be prosecuted?"
My opinion is no. If they knew he had the records, they could have gone and retrieved them without incident, like they did with Pence, like they did with Biden, and like they did with Hillary Clinton (read further for clarification). Did he have the right to keep them? According to the Presidential Records Act, I'm gonna go against the right-leaning hoopla and say no, he did not. But according to the Act previously mentioned, there's no punishment defined, and this act includes the records of Vice Presidents and former Executive Branch employees as well, as all of these records fall under the jurisdiction of the President. So Joe Biden had records as VP and they did not prosecute nor arrest. Mike Pence had records as VP as well, and they did not prosecute nor arrest either. Hillary Clinton, former Head of the Department of State of Obama's administration, also had records uploaded to a non-secure server (!!!!) and they neither prosecuted her nor arrested her.
Is it an issue for him? Apparently it is, now that Der Fuhrer Biden is President and the Deep State that bows down to him -- the Deep State that everybody says is a conspiracy theory but really isn't -- can get away with doing whatever the hell they want now. Criminally? Like I said, I saw no penalty for violating the act, but we'll have to wait and see what the unbiased legal scholars say about it. I'm still trying to find one.
Will it be an issue for future presidents not named Donald Trump going forward? I sincerely doubt it, because future presidents won't be Donald Trump. In that respect, I do see it as a witch hunt. They tried to impeach him twice, both on bullshit pretenses. They tried to blame him for January 6th, which was NOT the riot (thank God for Tucker Carlson) that everybody claimed it was. The one DA in NY said he was gonna get Trump by any means necessary, it looks like the Biden administration has picked up that mantra to stop Trump from running for reelection.
Funny fact: Even if Trump goes to jail, they still can't stop him from running for president. And if he got elected, even though he would be in jail, he could pardon himself. Because he's the president.
Yes, even a person in jail can run for president. There's no law forbidding it. And if it actually happened, I would laugh my ass off.

It has been done before. Eugene V Debs ran for President from prison. From Wikipedia:
