No, the medication was controlling it, it was down to about once a month which the vet said was normal. They increased the dosage once already when they started to get closer together again, and I'm guessing after this they will probably increase it again. Won't know till he's done at the vet though.

They're increasing the dosage of the meds he's already on and adding another. I don't know for how long though. I'll find out from the wife when I get home. She said that the vet seemed a little more concerned this time, but that he looked good, there was no lingering effect from the two seizures this morning. So that's good at least.

Yeah, it's going to be a dice roll. The vet wants to get the frequency of the seizures down (he saw a different vet today, our vet is a big clinic that has 6 or 7 different vets on staff), ideally this vet said he would like to get the seizures down to no more than a couple a year, so he is going to be a bit more aggressive I think going forward.

Is there many side-effects to the meds?
Iirc Tony was on 9 tablets a day laterly....... hardest part was getting him to take them, even wrapping them in ham or cheese slices, the wee bugger would somehow manage to eat the ham/cheese and spit out the tabs Talented fella!
There weren't really any side effects on the first meds he was on, but I think there are on the new meds. I have to look into it more. I think the new meds can affect his liver, so we have to bring him back in later, in about a month I think, to see how the new medication is building up and if it's affecting his liver or not.
We usually either put the pilss in a piece of cheese and fold it over and squeeze the edges down to seal it or we use this stuff:
It's like a REALLY thick kind of paste/putty that you can wrap pills in.

Yeah, we still miss Bullet too, even after he attacked the wife.

My mum and dad are finally looking at getting another dog, but the prices have gone crazy over here since the covid crap started. It's around £2k on average for something like a labrador - this time last year the same dog wouldve been £500
