IF YOU BOYS DON'T STOP FOOLING AROUND, I'LL BE COMING UP WITH THE BELT!
DON'T MAKE ME USE THIS THING
Time to roll
have a pleasant weekend
My mother bought me a new guitar yesterday for my birthday (since I'll be back at work then) absolutely love, love it. 2016 Fender American Professional Telecaster, butterscotch blonde. Off to see my Dad today. He's not doing well at all now.

The Tele is now my #1 guitar. The Gibson es-335 studio is great, but there just something about the Tele that feels and sounds right. Only my old 13 strat feels almost as nice.
Not good news on the Dad side. VA doctors have given him 6 months or so.

Kevin, how have your playing skills gotten? Arent you a relatively new guitarist?
Muddy, it's been about 5 years since got 1st guitar, but I've never put in as much practice as I should. I can do 20 or so riffs and be recognizable, but not totally correct. The Gibson, and the Tele were total surprises. Mom had talked to my wife who relayed 2 of my list guitars. The 2
335 is a studio, so while not as pretty as full deal it does have Gibson classic 57 pups so the sound is awesome. Tbh, once the newness wears off of the tele, I can see it and my srat (mim, 22 fret with Texas special pups) being my main guitars to just pick up. Though the feel of the strat neck is very different than the tele (strat has a gloss modern C, tele has a satin deep C) I just like the way they feel. The LTD will continue to be my rock (think ac/dc, Metallica etc) and the 335 will sort itself out. Biggest thing I've bought to help my enjoyment is a new Boss Katana 100 watt 2x12 amp. I REALLY like that amp.
Not best pic, but here's the tele:
