It was essentially the same as the original, but not especially better.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
Let Me In
This is the remake of the award winning Swedish film, Let The Right One In.
I enjoyed this American version much more.It features Chloe Moretz, who played Hit Girl in Kickass.
The real star in my opinion was the young lad who played Owen. There's not a false note between them
throughout the entire movie. He plays a lonely, bullied child and she of course plays....something else.
This movie is a slow burn, I loved the way it was filmed. It really gave me a sense of isolation and the underlying,
hidden horror that forms the backbone of the film.Make no mistake, this is a love story...not a full on vampire-fest
full of gore. But in that vein....it makes the violent scenes all the more terrifying because they're not expected.
I loved the cinematography in this movie and the acting by the two young leads. It may not be for everyone however.
A good show to watch on a quiet, snowy night...
I sooooooooooooo can't wait to see that one! ^^^^^
I watched this:
Wasn't as good as the first one but still totally watchable if you like anime! Several different animators with several different styles put their own spin on the flashbacks of the people telling the story!
Awesome sig by fricnjay!!!
I'm watching this right now...
Another cracking instalment in the Narnia series
Doctor Zhivago
How about you take some time and tell us what you thought of all the 5 or 6 films you have seen demon
Not a whore thread you know
I rarely watch movies. Short attention span.
A Prequel more that a sequel
Straight to video and deserves it
I enjoyed this and it followed the original mostly. I thought the actors were fine, the cinematography was good but the changes they did make from the original weakened it overall. A lot of the dialog was missing and a few other changes didn't make sense.
I'll have to watch the original again but I don't recall Mom being a drunk and Dad wasn't an asshole in the Swedish version, he was just distant and had moved on with his life (gay if I remember correctly). That brings me to the point of not making sense. In the original the boy went to visit his dad and the girl showed up there and climbed into bed.
That didn't happen in this version so when he "Let her in" the front door of moms apartment she had already been "let in" through the window. She should have been able to come in already.
Also I thought the first kill was written better in the original, the dog appearing and the owners trying to find it was more suspenseful than stepping in a hole.
Yeah they changed the plot points, not to the point where it detracted from the story though.I liked the original,
yet felt this version brought something new to the story.I noticed one subtle thing....the prevalence of religious dialogue throughout.Almost every character (besides the Christian Mom) said 'Jesus Christ' or some similar reference.
I liked the young actor who played Owen, better than the original. And Chloe is going to be someone to watch out for in the coming years.Saw her on a Leno clip and she's got an old soul.
Mega Python vs. Gatoroid
Tiffany vs. Debbie Gibson! Awesome in it suckiness!
