The hunger games!
Pacific Rim
It's not the best summer blockbuster movie ever, but I did enjoy it. Think Godzilla/Cloverfield + Independence Day + Transformers + any global catastrophe film all rolled into one. I know, the list is made up of some films that weren't necessarily good, but I enjoyed the mash-up. Turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.
Next up: Red 2 and The Wolverine. I think I'll check them out some time next week. From what I've seen of the Wolverine previews, it should be freakin' awesome. At the very least, I'm hoping that it's better than the piece of crap that 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' was.

Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.
Oblivion
Bro in law, nephew and myself just watched this. I hadn't read anything about it going in and all of us were pleasantly surprised. Above average sci-fi with great effects and cinematography.
* note - I got a 700MB copy with 'sparks' in the title. We all thought it was at least a 720P version, quite amazed at the quality for the small file size.
I thought this was a great little movie. Some of my favorite actors. Decent plot, funny and a bit sad.
I felt a little twilighty with all the dooods in it...
would of helped if the girl in the lead role wasn't so pudgy
in the book, no one eats 3 squares a day...
Red 2
It was ok. Everybody that I know that saw it said it was better than the first one, but I disagree.

The Colony
It was an okay time waster, not bad, not good. Had an interesting premise that coulda been a winner..
