I always envision traction control like this - One wheel starts slipping and spinning so the computer compensates by throwing a bunch of power to the other wheels.And the driver ends up spinning around in wild circles :lol:

Try it on ice and see what it really does. My traction control in my '92 Nissan, as soon as the computer senses the main drive wheel slipping, it tells it to then apply power to the other wheel, then the original one, then the other one....sort of left, right, left right, so no doughnuts! Usually gets me out of whatever I'm slipping on.

My newer van is a 2005 and it doesn't have it. It has 205hp and I can just fry the tires if I forget and just accelerate like I do in my car...my wife complained that the tires weren't grippy enough...they're fine but this new van has almost double the horsepower of our old '92 Van, and is Front Wheel Drive vs RWD.

Got my steaks for christmas lunch yesterday........ the t-bones are fecking massive! :shock: My friend Cath really came up trumps :tup: She works at the slaughterhouse (chef in the canteen) so gets all the prime cuts at low prices :D Got 3 massive t-bones and 4 ridiculously large sirloins for £35....... not bad considering a regular sized t-bone over here normally sets you back over £10 on its own

Thanks Mang....I grew up with this uncle, first cousin and auntie.They only gave him 2 weeks to live at the beginning of December.

This past week they had him on morphine and Christmas day he says - Stop the morphine, it's screwing me up.I want a beer and to listen to a Wilf Carter CD.They let him do both and he hung on until Boxing Day (this past Monday).It's like he knew he had to last longer than Christmas for his family :(

He was in a boatload of pain, stomach cancer was the final diagnosis I believe...now he ain't fighting that shit anymore.

Have a bit of a funny story about my Uncle John.He's been a farmer for life, growing cows and grains in a small town outside of our city.His beef was renowned for taste and tenderness, my family used to buy 1/2 a cow at time.

At one point there's a meat packing plant out there and his beef was getting switched and getting sold as other farmer's meat.My Uncle never used growth hormones in the feed and treated his animals well.

Cattle-Gate was exposed because people noticed that 'Uncle John's' beef was tough and tasteless...they investigated the meat packing plant and sure enough, they were switching farmer's cows :lol: :lol:

Hoping to have a home health nurse soon but I'll likely have to stay here at night. It's probably good I don't have a job right now so I can stay with her.
We'll be over in Feb for a wedding on Valentines Day. It's at noon, so I expect it won't be formal. What's the norm for wedding attire over there?

Mind you, this was the late 70's, early 80's in suburbia, back when kids trick'or'treated in droves...It wasn't until many, many years after becoming an adult that I finally found out why they posted that sign.

Easy enough job, just remember to pull out the lights fuse in the main fuse box first :lol: The wiring is simple enough, red or brown live, blue/black neutral, green/yellow earth :) Got a hole to fill in the roof now since i moved it about a foot to the right to line up with the board better :lol: You can just about make out the old hole in the pic
