Pain is pain bro....RBP sounds like he had some pretty serious infection issues and I've had some pretty bad diagnosing that's left me with daily pain....trust that yours can be fixed or lessened.I can't really speak for RBP but I know my problem is somewhat unique and remember that I've been in 6 car accidents, had stitches in my head from a variety of idiotic things and also have been in a lot of fistfights.

Sometimes tho, a person like me for example can maybe offer some suggestions.I picked up the lingo over the years and have had a handful of people in the dental profession ask me...if I'm in the dental profession :lol:

Once a TMD specialist told me how dentists diagnose pain.Most of the diagnosis hinges on how the patient describes his problem.X rays are only two dimensional so really the only tools they have are their experience with other patients and the way you tell them it feels.It's scary and I'm not describing it correctly, but she admitted that it's a rather loose and imperfect process.

There are great professionals out there, so listen to them before you listen to a hack like me.And maybe keep in mind that my problems are nerve and bite related....not problems with the actual structure of the teeth...much harder to analyze and pick off for a professional.

Just from the little you've told me..I would assume yours is a bite issue because the geography of your tooth changed through a root canal and now your mouth is putting pressure on the tooth and surrounding areas in a bad way.It took me years to realize that the nerves and ligaments surrounding a tooth, can give you the exact same pain as if the tooth was comprised in some way.

He dug out the medication and cleaned out the canals, filled them all in with the more permanent stuff and put the temporary seal on it....said it all looked good. A really tiny canal showed up on the final x-ray he took (showed nice and clear once the canals were packed with the sealer) and it went right to the side of the tooth down in the root. He said that's what was probably causing the infection.

Now in the next couple of weeks I just have to get to my normal dentist to get it permanently sealed. He does want to see me in 6 months though just to make sure it all still looks okay.

That is good news man.An improperly done canal or missed canal (or fracture for that matter) will cause all sorts of pain in or around a tooth, that's 'supposed to have no nerve'.

Consider it was 1989 and our hospitals weren't overcrowded like they are now.I was waiting with some guys, from a different bar fight :lol: We started chatting (still pissed to the gills) and we all noticed that Mr Tardy-pants was lounging by the nurse's station while we continued to bleed out on the floor.

So we all lit up and started smoking....in the hospital hallway.They warned us and warned us and finally assigned a rent a cop in a blue blazer and tie to talk to us, he didn't even have a weapon on him.So the security guy tries to get all tough and the guy I met from the other bar fight starts to tell the rent a cop that if he doesn't shut his mouth, we're all going to fuck him up.
