Then i got a phone call from the darts league president......... it seems i somehow managed to miss out one of our players on the registration sheet pre-season :wha: By rights they could have given us 12-0 defeats for every game he's played in (9 games altogether) but since i grew up with the President and the unregistered player was clearly a clerical error by myself we're getting off mildly with a 2 point deduction which means we're still top of the league by three points. I've no idea how the fuck i missed this guy out, he played for us pretty much all of last season :wha: Still, it could've been worse.......

It was awesome for the techs because we would get paid our full pay scale regardless of the overall labor rate, pad the estimate with 4 extra hours of labor time and that's 4 more hours I get paid. :dance:

There's no set meeting.I called my manager the other day and pretty much told him that I want the spot, no other choices.He said - we haven't decided yet...


Today is my supervisor's last day (faux last day).He leaves for 2 full months vacation and comes back for one day, April 30th.So some of the management are coming by to wish him well today.Our new supervisor has already been told he starts this Monday, so they'll need a lead hand...I know our manager personally (used to drink with him many moons ago when we both started) so it's a little uncomfortable.We're friends more than anything.

Thanks...I've pushed, now I have to remain cool.If they give someone else the spot it will be too embarrassing more than anything for me.The entire staff treats me as the supervisor to begin with so I can't go on doing the extra things if they don't choose me...and our place will suffer because of it.

My black buddy is the new super and while he's a smart guy...he relies on me and we both know it.It would be shame for me to just become 'average joe employee'...I hate watching things fall apart.

Sometimes it's not the pay - but the recognition of the work that you do that is more rewarding. (Although the pay is good too :)) $1/hr - that's pretty much a free lunch every day... well a small lunch - but still, it's better then a kick in the nuts :tup:
