Here we have to do emissions tests on cars...new vehicles are usually exempt for the first few year then you have to go get it done whenever the DMV tells you to when your registration is up for renewal.

Yeah, no MOT required over here until the vehicle has been on the road 3 years then it's a yearly test after that (they check emissions, brakes, tyre tread amongst other things).......... its pretty much an excuse to print money, robbing bastards :x


I won my first top team game for the County on saturday at the darts! :cheers: Played fucking terribly too :lol: Luckily my opponent was struggling to hit a double! Was the last game on so tbh i was starting to feel a bit tired (was on the team bus at 9am, at the venue for 10.15, didnt get on the match board until after 7pm!) so was just happy to get a win! Plus it means i'm definitely playing in the A Team again next month :woot: Got home about 11pm or so......... and i'd forgotten that i'd promised to fix my mates car yesterday so ended up pulling a 5 hour shift getting that done :|

Twas a good day today. All the so called "helpers" got out of my way, so I was able to complete quite a bit of wiring. Also, with the help of a specialist, we were able to figure out a fault on a generator controller that I've never seen and had no manual or prints for. May wander down the dock after dinner and have a beer or two at the "Seaman's Club"

That's still undecided. Now, I'm waiting on them to let me start the Emergency gen to do some testing, or they can send me power from the main gens. Either way, that'll take a few days to sort out. Also, there are 3 parts I need shipped here from Houston. Dunno how long that will take. Hoping to hear something from my parts guy in the morning. If they will take several weeks, I plan on going home after finishing testing what I can, then return once parts are here to finish up.

Seriously though, sorry to hear that. You'll have to describe the symptoms in the Garage. Just dyeing while driving could be a couple of things offhand: battery, fuelpump

We're hoping it's just the fuel pump...one of the guys here at work has a gauge to test fuel pressure, so we're gonna try that first. It will crank, but it won't turn over.

If no pressure, measure the voltage at the fuel pump plug before buying a new pump. Lot's of times, the fuel Pump relay goes out.
