you may just be getting food and bacteria caught in there and are a little sensitive to that type of discomfort...it was infected, so each time you ate something after that, it didn't help much.

I'm excited.I have to get another pair of proper prescription glasses (rather than the cheapo drugstore reading glasses) so I'm hitting the mall tonight in search of 2 pairs for 179.I just need some for work, other than my fancy 450 dollar tortoise shell ones...

The website Pearle Vision, has a cool flash tool that lets you upload a photo of yourself and try on frames.It actually works pretty good as the frame representations are exact duplicates of the frames they sell.

Oh definitely they are.I won't do the online though in case they make the lenses the wrong strength and also, how will they measure them to your face?

Comfort is pretty important to me as I'll be ripping them on and off all day long.And I have a weird shaped head, face, penis....:oops:

My problem is frequency....I counted last Friday how many times I had to put them on.I hit 49 times by noon.

I have to do a fair amount of paper reading close up and then data entry at my PC.Then, I have to drive the forklift and read things from a distance...and not kill people :lol:

what a pain in the ass...I admire anyone who's had to wear glasses their entire lives :x

My whole family wore them all of their lives....and my eyes didn't go until last year.I was reading my phone in my car one night and thought the phone was malfunctioning :lol:

..then I was putting my arms out 3 feet reading a book at nights...and then noticed I needed way more light.


all of those things add up to what some people here already know = reading glasses for close up :oops:

Take a pill box or some thing with very small print on it to your drugstore.Hold it 14 inches away from your eyes and read.Then start trying on the 20 dollar reading glasses with the lowest strength.I think it's 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0 etc.A person with a prescription of 4 needs some pretty thick glasses.

I may be wrong with the scale as I'm new to this whole going blind thing....:oops:

What you may notice is that 1.25 strength glasses may really clear up fine text....that's a sign your eyes are going.As well as having to hold the material out at arm's length to have it focus better.If you're doing the holding it out thing, that means your focal point has moved somewhere in the back of your head, rather than right behind your eyes.
