Yep. What a crap weekend. Plus my family is all down south ll week for the holiday an im stuck at work.

And the hottub started leaking yesterday, I had to drain it and run out to get antifreeze to winterize it until I can afford to fix it. Motor/pump ssemblies are 400 bucks if I do the labor myself and id still need to repir the leak.

Morning guys. Lance last time I had 2 weeks off without having to worry about getting called in was 2006. The time before that was 1993.

I'm looking forward to it, esp since this time around, I will be home for Thanksgiving, and next hitch will fly home Christmas eve. Got lucky on my rotation assignment this year. :lol:

Have a bit of running around to do today, clean out the service truck, and clean the apartment, get/order some parts for one of the rigs, though I'll probably hand the installation off to my relief. First week of hitch, I had 88hrs, this week (ends Tues) I'll have around 78hrs.

Had County darts on saturday, did zilch yesterday :lol: Posted this on the darts forum yesterday:


Played Clackmannanshire yesterday, i was slightly surprised to be picked in the A-Team seeing as i'd missed our last game through work. Apparently our Captain has faith in me :) Anyway, the draw comes out......... i get Scotland International Craig Baxter :lol: Didn't bother me tbh, nothing for me to lose! He had the throw, takes the first leg in 17 (i'm left on 54), 2nd leg he misses D18 for a 15 darter and i take out 56 in two darts to level up (hit a cheeky 174 in the leg, t20, t19, t19) and start to feel pretty confident.......... then Baxter starts the 3rd leg with 140, 180 hahahaha, finishes in 14 darts. So, onto the 4th leg, i've got the darts, so what do i start with......... a feckin 11 :facepalm: Followed it with a ton but he'd started 140, 100 so it's already looking bad....... then i throw in another couple of duff throws and its game over :( Still, considering i was playing a top player at least i didn't disgrace myself, finished with a 25.58 average against his 31.03.

Overall a good day though, we won the mens A 8-4, womans a 5-1, womans b 3-1 and drew 3-3 in the mens b. Angus County up next in two weeks time........ maybe i'll draw Alan Soutar again :D

Was good fun, enjoyed the day........ didn't get too drunk either surprisingly :lol: Got a day out with a bunch of mates this saturday then County darts away the following saturday so i'd better start watching the pennies :)

our doors were open for over 5 hours yesterday...one driver got stuck in our door twice...once from 10-11:30 then he came back at 2 pm and got stuck again :facepalm:

Bunch of poofters [-( Why, in my day we had to walk 30 miles to work in -50C temperatures........ and that was in the summer......... but did we moan about it? Not a bit, we just gone on with it because that's the way it was back then :shakefist:

There was one Christmas I was living in Vermont (it was either the first or second Christmas after we moved there, so I was only 10 or 11 when it happened) and we lost power on the 24th and it didn't come back on until late Christmas day....it got down to -51° (-46C) according to the thermometer outside. I'll never forget how that cold felt :lol:

Yeah, that sounds a bit on the chilly side right enough :lol: We had hurricane winds through the night last night, loads of trees down and power outages. My workmate Ryan couldn't get in to work until 11AM or so, both roads he could use were blocked, one with a fallen tree, another with a truck on its side :shock: Got a small flurry of snow this afternoon too........ looks like winter is finally on the way :(

Yeah, we've had snow a few times before now, but none of this freezing cold. It's kind of a shock :lol:

Our temps have been a bit strange........ couple of weeks ago it went really cold for a few days then climbed back up to 7 or 8C :shrug: My computer tells me its 1C outside right now......... snow forecast for tomorrow :sad2:
