What a shitty weekend. Didn't get near as much done as I wanted to due to weather. My Mom gave me a Rising Sun Redbud tree for my birthday, and I did get that planted, as well as a bit of flower bed weeding done, but much more left. Also have to get grass cut this week as next week I'm out of town all week.

Also, my boss decided he'd move my little fridge to accommodate his new coffee machine......... which is about the same size as the starship enterprise only it has more buttons on it :rant:

Yeah.......... i think i'll pass on that idea :lol: I spent the first hour or so tidying up the shop and getting all my tools back to where they should be.......... then i put my old water heater machine (it's part of an old coffee machine - just dispenses hot water) beside the boss's stupid new, phd required to operate coffee machine then brought my mini fridge back from the paintshop (like i was letting those fuckers keep it) and made a space for it on my big workbench. After that the steam stopped coming out of my ears and i got on with the work :)

hehe...fuggin million guitarists around here, some pretty ridiculously good ones, too. one day at band practice when I was about 14, after we'd gone through 3 bass players, my drummer stood up and said ok guys, this is crazy - ONE OF YOU IS PLAYING BASS, I dont care who. My best friend looks and me and goes, "dude, I just bought all this guitar equipment..." ok man...guess that means I am playing bass :thumbsup:

but it was a good deal, because at the time I was feeling stagnant on guitar anyway, I learned every metallica song through justice, solos included, and it only made me feel entirely uncreative on guitar. so I wound up putting it away for a year or two and discovered that bass is its entirely own animal. you like *are* the weight and dynamics of the entire mix, its cool...so I very often take that into regard when writing lines these days - which is why I feel handicapped on a 4 string bass....so used to using the big .130 when I really need the song to be huge, a .100 dont cut it :lol:

What a week :| Now that work is over i can focus on the darts exhibition.......... although i'm doing fuck all tonight since i've fucked with the cold yet again :x Thankfully not too much left to do, just need to add some more songs to my laptop then hook it up to the PA (which is already tested and working 100%). Organise the tables and seats (we've borrowed extra tables to go across the dancefloor) and i think that's about it :tup: Have managed to get plenty bottles of spirits/wine etc for a raffle so we're good for that, Steve Beaton is also bringing some goodies with him for auction :thumbsup: I have all the money here to pay him and the MC so i think i'm pretty much set......... surely i've forgotten something :-k

Will hopefully get some pics of the night and maybe even a vid or two (want to get someone to film my walk-on :lol: ).

It's being staged in the function hall of my local club, most of the floor is a wooden dancefloor with seats all around the sides! It's not raised or anything :lol: We just needed extra tables and chairs since there's gonna be probably nearer 100 folk and normally it can only seat around 60 with the dancefloor clear of course!

I booked today off as a vacation/mental health day and it's felt like Saturday all day long. Which is a good thing I suppose, because now I get two Saturdays...
