I was supposed to be off yesterday and today. Was on the phone almost all day yesterday with rigs (chargeable time) and today my boss called at 6 am to beg me to go to a rig that's been having problems for 2 days. 3rd party techs can't figure it out. I get there and have it fixed litter all in 5 miss. The rig manager doesn't believe it so I prove it to him. Get home, start doing yard work (only 2 weeks overdue) and my phone keeps ringing, texts, and emails. Finally just turned it off.

what happens to us is couriers/truckers showing up at any time/all day...

I quite work at 5:30 and lock and alarm the building. Some mook shows up at 5:29 with 26 pallets on a 53 foot trailer and then whines to me about how bad his day was/his dispatcher/the traffic/his wife/whatever.....and then we have to accept the shipment no matter what or it's considered a 'refusal'.

and my lunch break time varies from 11 am to 4 pm every day, it's never the same time two days in a row...

Yep. I'm extremely severe with Ragweed, I could take a whole bottle of allergy pills and it wouldn't help much. It gets to the point where it will turn into bronchitis or pneumonia if I don't get into the doc and get a cortizone shot. even that gets less effective every year.

Busy as fuck at work again, wish i hadn't taken monday off :lol: Last friday it was starting to look a bit quieter, i walked in yesterday to approx 94385724502750475032756038475380476530475374634763 076 jobs, most of which are pretty big jobs too :x My boss is soooo good at organising :roll: He never thinks "oh, i've booked in 70/80 hours of panelwork this week and Goof is the only panel beater here...... and he's off monday, this could be a problem" - feckin tube that he is! Probably be working through my lunchbreak all week this week, worked late last night then started reading a book when i got home......... yep, you read that correctly, can scarcely believe it myself :lol: Had bought AP McCoy's (most successful jumps jockey of all time) autobiography on amazon, it just arrived yesterday (about £2 second hand - hardback copy), had planned on switching on the pc to say hello but it was nearly midnight and 150 pages in when i stopped reading :mrgreen: I don't read many books but tend to find it hard to stop once i've started :oops:

Bowling tonight at 8.15pm in an outdoor floodlit venue, pretty cool comp actually as all the other bowling we do is during daylight hours so it makes for something a little different with all the light shadows :)

If I drink something where the caffeine is more concentrated, like a 5 Hour Energy shot or a small can of Red Bull, it gives me a mild jolt for a little while, but it doesn't really make me feel more awake or alert. Now if I dink something with a lower caffeine content like a bottle of Coke, I feel absolutely nothing.

ffs we have quite a few managers showing up today to greet the Staples people....one guy, who got quite a good raise along with his new position is standing here with a tiny box of Timbits (basically donut holes) ...I think the thing holds 10 or 15 at best

I know the two reps from Texas, we get long well. Some of the management here get so nervous they can barely talk to our visitors.....so I walk up to both of them, get hugs /handshakes (I've known them for 5 years)...... and then I put the theme from the Dallas TV show on my speakers

The head accountant for Staples is a kindly old lady named Pam....she is everyone's mother both in looks and her demeanor. She is also one of the smartest people I've met and has a keen eye for discrepancies/dollar and cents...


she had a coffee in her hand, I'm taking her into this meeting area and she exclaims - Holy cow! I just spilled coffee all over my boob!!!! The room goes silent so I say - Hey Pam, did you...ummmm.....need a hand????

Double entendre :tup: :lol: Some guy called Kirk from Ohio, technical rep for Evercoat (American company, supply bodyfillers, bonding agents and the like). Nice guy, gave us quite a few freebies :lol: Been using their products for years anyway, best fillers ive ever used, he did show us a couple of other products and techniques though! A product called poly-flex is fuckin unbelievable! Its a flexible filler used for plastic repairs - we put some on an old bumper, let it dry then sanded it down a bit. I said to him "how much flexibility does it actually have as ive seen fillers crack on plastic bumpers before especially on stress areas", the fucker pretty much folded the bumper in half and the filler didnt break :shock: Never seen any filler to flex like that before!

Well i suppose ive bored you enough (except maybe PP) so i better get back to work for the next half hour or so! Be back on when i get home :bye:

Yep :lol: Edit - pretty similar to the french fries you get in mcdonalds........ except spicier, crispier and a lot less fat since you oven cook them rather than deep frying :thumbsup:
